Titan Fitness

Titan Fitness is a direct-to-consumer strength equipment retailer that sells its own house-brand racks, barbells, benches, plates and attachments rather than stocking other manufacturers’ gear. It positions itself explicitly against the premium end of the market, writing on its About page: “We provide premium products without the premium cost.” Shipping is included on every order, financing is offered through the product pages, and the catalogue is tiered into named series — TITAN Series for racks, Performance and Elite Series for benches.

What matters when choosing Titan

The warranty is one flat term for the whole catalogue, not a per-product schedule. The Limited Warranty states that “The Warranty Period for all coverage begins from the date of purchase and will remain in place … for a period of one (1) year.” There is no longer term for a frame, because there is no separate frame term.

There is also a filing deadline inside that year. Titan “shall have no obligation to respond to any warranty claim that is first submitted to Titan more than ninety (90) days after the date of a reported failure of the Product.” The clock runs from the failure, not from when you decide to claim.

Coverage is non-transferable and direct-purchase only. The document states the warranty “is not transferable to subsequent Product owners or users - or otherwise available to anyone other than the original retail purchaser that acquired the Product directly from Titan.” Equipment from a reseller or second-hand carries no manufacturer warranty at all.

Titan decides, and the remedy is capped. Any decision to replace or pay “shall be made at the sole discretion of Titan”, and the all-caps EXCLUSIVE REMEDY clause excludes “SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES”. Unresolved claims go to binding arbitration before the AAA, with each party bearing its own costs and attorney’s fees. That is worth knowing before a purchase, not after a failure.

The flagship rack’s specification is unusually concrete. The TITAN Series page describes “3” x 3” 11-gauge square steel uprights with laser-cut keyholes spaced 2” apart”, oversized 1” hardware, a 1.25” pull-up bar, band pegs, and a stated “Rackable Capacity: 2,000 lb / Whole Rack Capacity: 10,000 lb.” The 2” spacing is the commercially important number: it is not the 1 in / 5/8 in pattern that most third-party J-hooks, safeties and attachments are built around.

Before you buy

• Decide whether a one-year, arbitration-bound term is acceptable for the equipment you care about most. It is the single clearest difference between Titan and brands that publish per-item structural terms.
• Plan accessories from Titan’s own catalogue. The 2” hole spacing is the constraint that decides what you can add later.
• Check what is standard on the variant you order. The rack is offered with no J-hooks, sandwich J-hooks or roller J-hooks, and in 90” or 100” uprights with 36” or 42” depth side bracings, so the component list changes with the choice.
• Assembly is yours. These are bolt-together racks shipped with hardware and wrenches; the labour is not included, and shipping is included at every price point.
