Honor Yoga

Honor Yoga’s public site is now organised as a foundation rather than a franchise. honoryoga.com resolves to honoryoga.org, and the front page describes four divisions: Orenda Retreats, Hope is One Breath Away, Honor Yoga Studios and a Six Week Virtual Trauma Healing programme. Underneath sits a single entity — “The Honor Yoga Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing suffering and fostering healing through the practice of yoga” — and the studios are described as operating under it: “Honor Yoga Studios operate under the Honor Yoga Foundation’s licensing model.” So the brand’s public face today is retreats, outreach and nonprofit access, and the studio business is presented as a licensing programme rather than a franchise sale.

What matters when choosing Honor Yoga

It is licensing, and the brand says so. The studios page states that you “bring Honor Yoga to your community through our licensing program powered by the Honor Yoga Foundation. The process mirrors traditional franchise standards while maintaining a heart-centered, service-based approach.” It also says what the licence brings: operational systems, studio templates, workflows and best practices, and “a proven licensing model rooted in years of successful studio operations”. What it does not publish is any fee, royalty rate, term length or agreement document. We could not find one on the site, so we are not quoting a number for it.

The class format list is not published. The studios page describes what the studios offer in general terms — “in-studio and livestream classes”, aerial yoga, “mindful, non-heated yoga classes”, and one studio advertising “gentle and restorative yoga… to dynamic flow, strength-building classes, aerial yoga, chair yoga, children/teen programs, and on-demand options”. Those are individual studios describing themselves. The brand does not publish a named class taxonomy, so we are not listing one.

The studios page lists four current studios, each with a star rating drawn from a third-party review source. We publish neither the count as a network size nor the ratings; treat the page as the brand’s own list of the studios it currently chooses to feature, and ask for a full current list before you model this as a network.

There is no price on the site. No membership rate, class pack or drop-in price is published on the studios page or the studio descriptions. Each studio sets its own, and the brand does not publish a national figure.

Before you join or license

• Joining a studio: ask the studio directly for the class schedule, what “livestream” access costs if you are not attending in person, and whether aerial or children’s programmes are included in your rate or cost extra — the studio descriptions list them as offerings, not as entitlements.
• Licensing: get the fee, the royalty, the term and the renewal terms in the agreement itself. None of them are on the website, and the page’s own description of the model is a description of what you get operationally, not what you pay.
• Confirm who the contracting party is — the Foundation or a separate studio entity — before signing anything.
