Fred Fitness runs two Los Angeles clubs: Santa Monica, which the company calls its flagship and says opened in 2025, and Culver City. The membership page asks which club you want before it shows a price, and today both clubs publish the same three tiers. What the company sells is an assessment first and a workout second — it describes a “data-driven journey” that “begins with a fitness assessment that calculates one’s Bio Age, produces a tailored training plan, and configures all equipment.”

What matters when choosing Fred Fitness

The assessment and the initiation fee are bundled, not sold. Both club pages list “$0 Fitness assessment” and “$0 Initiation fee” against every tier, and the homepage advertises a “free fitness assessment (reg. $100)” with a complimentary day pass.

The $25 gap is the commitment, not the rate. Month-to-month is $150 per month with “Cancel anytime with 30 day notice.” The 12 Month tier is $125 per month paid monthly and adds “12 guest passes per year” against a “12 month commitment.” Platinum all access is also $150 per month paid monthly on the same 12-month commitment, is labelled “Bestseller,” and adds multi-club access and shower towel service.

Add-ons are priced and named, and the site says staff attach them. Shower Towel Service is “$15 per month” and Multi-Club Access is “$25 per month”; the page notes “a team member can add them to your account at any time.”

The longevity line is a mail-in product, not a club amenity. The longevity page describes a “Fred Fitness X SiPhox at-home blood testing kit” that assesses “over 20 key longevity biomarkers,” returned in an “included FedEx envelope” with results through “an intuitive online portal,” and advises “test every 3 to 6 months.” It names “Dr Robert Lufkin,” described as a “world-renowned longevity expert and New York Times best-selling author,” as the brand’s “official Health and Longevity Advisor,” and says “expertly selected supplement options are available at our clubs.”

The equipment maker is not named. The club pages promise “full access to AI-driven workouts” and the site describes machines that adjust themselves. We could not read a manufacturer’s name on the pages we retrieved.

Before you join

  • Month-to-month cancels “anytime with 30 day notice.” The two cheaper-priced tiers are both written as a “12 month commitment,” so the discount is bought with a term.
  • Guest passes are a commitment-tier benefit; the month-to-month row does not list them.
  • Multi-Club Access is $25 per month on top of a Platinum tier whose own row already says “Multi-club access.”
  • Group classes are included, and the site names Mat Pilates among the “human-led classes” that are “complimentary to our members.”

The scores here are our editorial assessments, entered by hand from published manufacturer specifications and market sources. We do not operate gyms, test equipment, or hold device telemetry.

✓ Strategic Strengths

  • We hold no sourced strengths list for this brand. This is a gap in our record, not a finding: the strengths of a brand that publishes no specification sheet, no warranty schedule and no price list cannot be asserted from a record we do not have.

! Operational Risks

  • We hold no sourced risks list for this brand. We have not audited it, so we are not going to report that we found nothing: an empty record is not a clean result.
