9Round sells one thing: a fixed 30-minute kickboxing circuit of nine stations, three minutes each, with an instructor on the floor throughout. You do not book a class slot — you check in during the studio’s opening hours and start at the next three-minute mark.

What matters when choosing 9Round

The format is specified before you pay, and that specification is the product. The brand’s own description reads “Spend 3 minutes at a time at 9 training stations, getting a full-body workout” and “Check in and gear up for semi-private training with an instructor.” Rounds 1–2 are functional strength work with dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls and jump ropes; rounds 3–8 strike a suspended punching bag; round 9 is mat work for the core. An instructor stays for the whole session and the brand states you will be given modifications. Read that as fitness boxing with supervision rather than a technical kickboxing programme — nobody is teaching you stance, footwork or defence.

Walk-in, with one exception. Studio pages state that members “can work out on their time with no scheduled class times.” The first workout is different: a booked appointment is required, and the brand asks you to arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete a waiver. Kickboxing equipment is provided for that session, gloves included.

PULSE® is a heart-rate belt, not a training method. It is the wearable that drives the in-studio screens so members can see how hard their body is working and stay in what the brand calls their ideal heart rate training zone.

There is no national membership price. What the brand publishes is the structure, and the option on its Greenville studio page reads in full: “Month-to-Month Membership — Unlimited Workouts — 30-Day Notice to Cancel — Member App Access — Trainer Guidance.” No joining fee, no tier comparison — one structure, priced by the studio.

Before you join

• Get the monthly price in writing from the studio. It is the number this brand publishes nowhere.
• Weigh the 30-day notice against how you will actually leave. The term is month to month, but exiting is not instant.
• Ask what happens if you need two months off, before you sign. No freeze or hold policy is published, so that risk sits with you.
• Expect the same nine stations in the same order every visit. That repetition is the design, not something you discover later.
• Keep the app subscription separate from the membership. 9RoundNOW renews monthly “unless you cancel,” and cancelling after a payment runs to the end of that month. The site’s Terms of Use governs that app, not your studio membership.
