1Rebel runs dark, music-led group classes out of 13 named London locations. It sells six formats — Reformer Pilates, Reshape (treadmill-and-dumbbell HIIT), Ride, Rumble, Reset (sauna and cold-water contrast) and Radiate — either as pay-as-you-go packs with no contract, or as monthly memberships that carry a minimum commitment. This is one of the few operators whose full price list and cancellation terms are published, so the useful question is where the commitment sits.
What matters when choosing 1Rebel
The price list is complete enough to calculate a habit before you buy anything. Every pack states its price, its expiry and its per-session figure: a single session is £26 with 30 days’ expiry, the 10-session pack is £220 over 5 months (£22.00 each), and the 50-session pack is £899 over 12 months (£17.98 each). The cheaper per-session price is bought with a longer expiry and more sessions up front.
The cheapest monthly figures sit inside a 6-month lock. All-Access unlimited is £229 a month on a 6-month minimum commitment and £269 rolling; 12 sessions £175 or £205; 8 sessions £135 or £155; 4 sessions £75 or £85. The terms are explicit that “Memberships with a 3, 6, or 12 month minimum commitment cannot be cancelled or downgraded until the minimum commitment period has been completed”, and that you also cannot “downgrade a 1Rebel membership during any applicable minimum commitment period to one with fewer sessions”. Memberships also carry a booking benefit packs do not: “Get a 21 day booking window, giving you first dibs on your favourite sessions, trainers and spots.”
“Unlimited” is capped at 31 sessions and each booking consumes value. The terms state that for unlimited memberships “customer is entitled to a maximum of 31 sessions per month” and “each session booked will be for the value of 1/31 of the price paid”. An unlimited month you do not use is simply unused.
The classes are described concretely, and Reset’s benefits are not. Reshape is published as “RUNNING + STRENGTH”, switching between treadmill and floor for 50% of the session each, with “parachute and sled mode” on the treadmill. Reset is a sauna followed by an ice-cold plunge, and the brand’s own claims for it — boosting circulation, reducing inflammation, speeding recovery — are marketing copy with no study published behind them.
Before you buy
- Late cancel and no-show both cost, and both return the session. A “£5 ‘late cancel’ fee is in place for Rebel membership holders for spots booked and cancelled less than 12 hours before the session and your session will be returned”; a “£10 ‘no show’ fee is in place for Rebel membership holders for spots booked and not attended and your session will be returned”.
- The freeze allowance is one fortnight a year. “You are eligible for one freeze per calendar year for up to two weeks”, the two weeks “cannot be spilt over multiple freezes in one year”, and “Additional two week freezes are available for £15.”
- Nothing unused comes back. “Unless expressly stated to the contrary herein, or as provided by applicable law, payments are nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods”, applying to both session packs and memberships.
- You cancel it yourself, and email cancellation runs on a delay. The terms put the burden on the member to log in and cancel, and state that if cancellation is requested by email “notice will be deemed as given 48 hours following receipt of the email”.
- A waitlist place is a commitment. “Booking a spot on a waitlist does not guarantee a space”, you may be added “up to one hour before the start of the session”, and “If added to the session you will be liable for the normal late cancel and no show fees.” A standby credit is taken at booking and returned only if a spot does not become available.
- Price rises need 28 days’ notice. “If we make any changes to your membership price, we will provide you with at least 28 days’ written notice”, with the option to cancel if you disagree.
- A no-contract route exists. New to 1Rebel: “5 Sessions. 14 day expiry. £11.80 per session. Can’t be shared. Activates from purchase. First timers only.”

✓ Strategic Strengths
- We hold no sourced strengths list for this brand. This is a gap in our record, not a finding: the strengths of a brand that publishes no specification sheet, no warranty schedule and no price list cannot be asserted from a record we do not have.
! Operational Risks
- We hold no sourced risks list for this brand. We have not audited it, so we are not going to report that we found nothing: an empty record is not a clean result.
